Ride and Remember returns in September

The Spady Museum welcomed a great group to the last “Ride & Remember” trolley tour of the 2011-2012 season on May 12. The sold-out tour had a wonderful time learning about the five historical districts of Delray Beach. The tour will return in September 2012; we’ll see you then! Spady Museum

Finding things to do in Delray Beach, or South Florida, in the summertime is easy. No searching for a parking spot, no waiting for a table and no crowds to fight. And the list of exhibits, programs and events don’t diminish in quality or quantity – you just have to apply more sunscreen and bug spray.

This holds true at the Spady Museum, where some really fun stuff is on tap. How does live music, cold drinks and hot food sound? That’s the way the Spady Museum celebrates a special historical moment in U.S. history – Florida-style.

On Jan. 21, plan to join us for the Juneteenth Celebration at Crane’s BeachHouse & Tiki Bar.

Co-sponsored by Crane’s BeachHouse, Waste Management and the Arts Radio Network, the Juneteenth Celebration will begin at 6 p.m. Admission is $25 per person, and tickets can be purchased online at www.spadymuseum.org

The event will feature an extensive raffle with opportunities for you to win prizes, such as tickets to SunFest, Improv Comedy Club, major sports events, gift certificates to some of the area’s best restaurants and lunch with WPTV NewsChannel 5 Sports Newscaster Jason Pugh.

Don’t know about Juneteeth? Learn more, then come celebrate with us!
